Welding subcontracting

Custom welded parts, produced from your 3D file

You design brackets, frames or bases, and your usual welder is fully booked? Send us the STEP model. We produce your steel parts on a robotic cell that assembles, tacks and welds without a dedicated jig. You get an indicative price online, then a firm price after a check.

Capabilities

A deliberately narrow scope, so we can deliver it perfectly.

No stainless steel, aluminium or TIG for now. If your part falls outside this scope, we will tell you straight away.

Why it is faster than a conventional workshop

In a traditional workshop, a small batch ties up a qualified welder mostly for preparation: reading the drawing, jigging, positioning, tacking. Our software does this work from the 3D model.

No jig to build, no queue behind a welder. A drawing change? Send the file again and the program is recalculated.

Traditional workshop

  • Reading the PDF drawing and questions by email
  • A jig to design and build for the batch
  • Positioning and tacking by hand
  • Schedule dependent on a welder being available

How an order works

The full process in 6 steps
  1. 01

    STEP

You upload the complete assembly to the app.

  2. 02

    Estimate

3D preview, detected components and an indicative price by quantity.

  3. 03

    Confirmation

A technician checks the file and sets the firm price.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Inspected parts, delivered or ready for collection.

Preparing your file

A good file means an accurate estimate the first time.

The complete STEP preparation guide
  1. Complete assembly in STEP. Export the whole assembly (.stp or .step), not just one part or a PDF drawing.
  2. Real thicknesses. Model plates and sections at their manufacturing thickness, not as surfaces.
  3. Weld gaps allowed for. Keep the gaps and bevels you expect on the finished part.

Frequently asked questions

What is the lead time for a first batch?
We do not publish a standard lead time yet: the cell is in design, your parts are meanwhile produced with a partner workshop, and we would rather announce measured lead times than promised ones. For every confirmed request, we give you a firm delivery date along with the price.
Do I need to supply the cut parts?
No. We can have the components laser cut by our partner, or work with parts from your own laser cutter if you have one.
Do you deliver raw, shot-blasted or painted?
Parts leave as-welded and inspected. Finishes (shot blasting, painting, galvanising) should be specified with your request: the quote states what we can arrange through our partners.
Are my files kept confidential?
Yes. Your files are used only to calculate your quote and produce your parts; they are stored in Europe and never shared. An NDA is available on request. Details in our privacy policy.

The 18 most frequently asked questions

Pilot service: standard lead times and finishes will be published once the cell has produced its first batches. Until then, each confirmed quote carries its own lead time.
