Installation
How much floor space is needed?
The footprint depends on the final configuration (robots, table, bins, guarding). We define it with you during a visit to your workshop, with a layout plan, before any installation.
What power supply is required?
An industrial three-phase connection for the welding power source and the robots, plus compressed air depending on the configuration. The exact values are in the layout sheet provided before installation.
Is fume extraction needed?
Yes. Capturing fumes at source is essential for any welding station. We check your existing installation with you or plan suitable equipment.
How long does installation take?
We will specify this with the first pilot installations. The aim is fast commissioning, followed by a day of training on your parts.
Use and training
Do I need to know how to program a robot?
No. The program is generated from the STEP file. The operator loads the component bins, validates the program, starts production and inspects the parts.
What training is provided?
One day of training for your team on your own parts, included in the rental, followed by remote support.
What parts can the cell weld?
Structural steel assemblies, MIG/MAG welded, up to about 1 m x 0.5 m, from laser-cut components.
What if a part cannot be welded entirely by the robot?
The software detects this before production and isolates the inaccessible sections. They are flagged to be welded by hand, or the model can be adjusted.
Maintenance and safety
Who handles maintenance?
Welding consumables (nozzles, contact tips, wire) are managed by your team, as on a manual station. Cell maintenance and software updates are handled by us during the rental.
Is the cell CE marked?
Yes: the complete cell is designed to EN ISO 10218 and the Machinery Directive, and CE marked by us. See safety and standards.
Are my operators safe?
The robots' working area is guarded; access points are interlocked and stopping is guaranteed by safety functions designed to EN ISO 13849-1.
Data and contract
Who owns my files and programs?
Your files and the parts produced remain your property. The software remains ours, licensed during the rental or subscription.
Does my data leave the workshop?
Only the data needed for support and the monthly production review is shared, hosted in Europe. The details are set out in the contract.
Can I buy the cell after renting it?
Yes: the rent you have paid is deducted from the purchase price. Leasing through a finance partner is also possible.
